Cooking up one of our F A V O R I T E S to keep the FLU and SICK BUGS AWAY! 🦠 #FLUSHOT
Did you know-> “flu season” is a MYTH! You actually don’t get more sick because it’s fall/winter and there is cold weather.
People get more sick during this time of year because it’s the time of year when we consume more: sugar, alcohol, carbs and dairy while being sedentary in our homes and absorbing less sunlight!
In Fall and Winter we begin indulging in all the things that suppress our immune system. 💡
This doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the holidays. What it means is, if you want to stay healthy be proactive and have multiple ways to keep your bodies recharging and filled with flu and cold fighting foods and supplements!
If you’ve never made elderberry syrup, try it out! Homemade elderberry is so simple to make, tastes better, and is cheaper than store bought. It is great to have on hand through winter. There are many studies proving it can fight off the cold and flu.
I have all the ingredients and an easy to follow recipe on my blog! ((Link is in bio))
What are some of your favorite ways to boost your family’s immune system?
We started this fun tradition when my first son was born. He was 6 months old and he is now 6 years old which means, this is the 6th year we have cut pumpkins out of our own “pumpkin patch”. 🤗
It’s one of my all time favorite traditions because it’s months of memories. We plant the seeds together in May, water them often, love on them daily, and wait! It teaches the kids so many skills, and it’s fun to see how many will actually grow and how big they get. AND of course it’s stinking cool to say “we grew these”!!!! 🎃
This year’s pumpkins are by far our largest!! The smaller pumpkin is 25lbs and the largest one is a whopping 45lbs! 🤯 I can’t even lift it.. 😆
6 more small pumpkins made it too, they are on our porch steps! 🧡
The boys can’t wait to carve these big ones! 🔪
Have you ever planted pumpkins? I recommend it!!
If not, what are some of your own family Halloween/ fall traditions?...
🍂 Autumn 🍁
Trees are the best example of an abundant life. You need to constantly let dead things go in order to continue growing!! 🔥

The best part of BEING YOUR OWN BOSS #BYOB is that YOU aren't just in control of your business, you are in control of your life! 💗✨
Imagine being able to pick up and go whenever and wherever you’d like without needing to take time off work or worrying about if you can afford it. ✨
TRUE FREEDOM is not always about how big your house is or how nice your car is... TRUE FREEDOM is having choices!
The choice to get out of town and travel wherever you want.
The choice to spend all day with your kids.
The choice to pay off debt.
The choice to get the extra side of guacamole without hesitating.
The choice to visit your grandkids whenever you wanted.
The choice to go on a spontaneous Monday lunch date with your spouse.
The choice to spend all day doing your favorite hobby.
True freedom is LIVING YOUR LIFE ON YOUR TERMS without having to ask someone else if you can.
What would you do if finances and a J.O.B wasn’t holding you back? 🚀

Did you know a FEVER is helping your body? 🤒
A fever is a great example of how amazing our bodies are. It is protecting you and helping you fight infection. When you use ibuprofen or acetaminophen to suppress your fever, you are masking the symptoms.
A fever is the body’s immune response–and thus they should not be suppressed. You will recover quicker and knowing your symptoms will help to not spread illness.
Suppressing a fever actually spreads the illness! Why?
Think about how many parents are giving kids medicine and then their kid no longer “feels so bad” and they think they are “fine” because they want to play and they don’t have a fever anymore. So, they send their kid to school or they go to the store and because their fever is masked, they are still very contagious and they are spreading the illness everywhere! 😷
Natural Remedies for a cold / flu fever:
•Let the fever ride out (temperature under 104°)
•Use a cold wash cloth on neck and forehead
•drink plenty of water and rest
How cool is it that your body knows what it's doing. 💪🏼 Fevers HELP your body HEAL. 🤯

In the jungle:
1. The Elephant is the biggest;
2. The Giraffe is the tallest;
3. The Fox is the wisest;?
4. The Cheetah is the fastest;
Yet, the Lion is the KING of the jungle even without ANY of these qualities.
1. The Lion is courageous, is bold, walks with confidence, dares anything and is never afraid.
2. The Lion believes it is unstoppable.
3. The Lion is a risk taker.
4. The Lion believes any animal is food for him.
5. The Lion believes any opportunity is worth giving a trial and never lets it slip from its hands.
1. You don't need to be the fastest.
2. You don't need to be the wisest.
3. You don't need to be the smartest.
4. You don't need to be the most brilliant.
5. All you need is *courage*
6. All you need is the *will to try*.
7. All you need is the *faith* to believe it *is possible*.
8. All you need is to believe in yourself, that *you can* do it.!!
The Lion sleeps for 20 hours & works for 4 hours & yet eats meat.
But the elephant works for 24 hours & eats grass.
Your life's strategy matters most in your approach to circumstances & situations for you to be a champion or winner always.
*Stay in the Lion's mood!*
*That's the mood for winners.*

How many of you bedshare?for how long? .
Why is this not a routine part of prenatal care and hospital discharge? Why is this not talked about by doctors who are caring for patients? Why is this swept under the rug as if it's not happening?⠀
Around 75-80% of breastfeeding mother's have brought their babies to bed with them, even if they weren't prepared to. (I'd bet even more)⠀
When exhausted moms are too terrified to safely share sleep so they fall asleep in unsafe places, like sitting up in a rocking chair.⠀
When there are ads with infants sleeping next to butcher knives.⠀
When they're too scared of being reprimanded to talk about it with their doctors, nurses, friends, etc.⠀
The fear mongering has got to stop.⠀
The only thing this is doing, is creating more dangerous situations, and making parents lie about their sleeping arrangements.⠀
We should be providing parents with all of their options, and all of the information. We should be providing parents with information to safely bedshare.⠀
This has been done for thousands of generations, and up until recently, parent's wouldn’t even question where there babies would sleep.⠀
Most of the world doesn't even have the luxury to choose where their baby will sleep.⠀
Breastfeeding and sleep are so intertwined. We cannot promote exclusive breastfeeding and not take into account that breastfeeding moms and babies need close proximity, even at night, to make that easier to achieve.⠀
Babies thrive off of closeness and connection with their caregivers. Their survival instincts depend on it. And that doesn't end when it's dark out.⠀
So instead of fear mongering and lecturing about bedsharing, why don't we accept that this is happening, and give helpful information to ensure SAFE bedsharing.⠀
Because bedsharing in itself is not dangerous, ignoring that it's happening instead of giving education and having a discussion about how to do it *safely* can be....
